The small dining section inside the bakery is a small hangout place for youngsters. They serve all tea/coffee products, brownies, Icecreams, etc. Darjeeling’s favorite bakery destination. Located in the main city nearby mall road this outlet offers the best-baked goods. Bread,  chocolates, and fresh snacks are available as well. They offer all the menu that a large cafeteria should have. Also, they serve main courses. The price is a little high but worth visiting once. Their restaurant is world-renowned, and their steak is an absolute must-try. It’s a well-done steak but the sauce and the sides are simply otherworldly. This is a small cozy cafe in Darjeeling…   The best place to have pancakes. They have a great menu to explore and prices are pocket-friendly. Loved the interior. This is a good place for backpackers. Hospitality was nice and all kinds of payment methods are accepted here. Lovely place to enjoy and spend time if you’re in Darjeeling. 

A shelf is full of books for Bookworms and small games for Fun-loving people. Tried the Ramen and Hot chocolate, and just couldn’t get over it. Add this to your Bucket list. If you are planning for your Darjeeling trip add this to your plan. Quaint little cafe down a slight dinghy lane! Both dishes were very tasty and had a very homely feel, just what we needed after a long walk.

 Tom & Jerry’s has been for years one of the favorite breakfast (all day!) & snack time places since it opened in Darjeeling. It is indeed soul food and worth your money’s worth (& more!) The cozy ambiance itself makes us fit right in and very comfortable which is why many return time & again! Do stop by the cafe when you are in town- even for a beverage. The walls and the tabletops were decorated with Tom and Jerry photos and feedback notes from the visitors. 

Providing tranquility and much-needed quiet from the bustle of the market, this is one of the best places in Darjeeling. Affordable food but of high quality. An array of books are also available to be read at any time accompanied by good music in the background. This street-side joint has so much to offer other than just delicious food. You can see handwritten notes from people all around the world sharing their experiences and praising the food. 

You guys should give this place a visit. You’ll love the ambiance, umm plus the food, all mouth-watering burgers, and what not you can get here. The cafe has such a feeling that you can either do your work or just chill around. Tom and Jerry are decorated with a lot of items of the cat and mouse that help in invoking our childhood nostalgia and relishing in some memories. The place is located very close to Chowrasta and mall road, some of the important landmarks of Darjeeling town, and is easy to locate through the use of google maps. 

The menu is Westernized in nature and provides you with a large variety of items to eat and drink and that too at reasonable prices. They have an awesome snacks menu with great non-alcoholic beverages. The inside is cool with this ambiance that you will not find in most restaurants in Darjeeling. Do give them a visit. Also, they sell Darjeeling tea in packets that go by the name “Koseli ” from which a small portion goes for the education of under-privileged students.

Keventers Darjeeling has completed 100 years since its establishment and has been serving sumptuous English breakfast, teas, and snacks for generations. The ground floor is the bakery section and while you climb the narrow stairs upwards, you are introduced to a certain old-world charm. There are a few indoor seats with a relaxed environment. The major attraction, however, for us is the open terrace with several seating arrangements. From here you can get the panoramic views of the mighty ranges as well as that of the busy road below.

 You can spend hours here sipping your hot tea or coffee in the company of your loved ones. Wonderful place, perhaps the best place in Darjeeling to have a perfect English breakfast. A little crowded in the morning, it opens sharp at 8 am, so try to reach there at time if you are willing to have a wonderful view table. Otherwise, you can pay a visit any time. The food is excellent here, fresh sausage, bacon, salami, etc. 

Everything is very fresh, my kids loved the food there, you can treat your kids with whatever they like without any worries. Everything is very fresh and well cooked. From the rooftop, you can get an awesome view of Darjeeling. Bekan and chicken platter was too good. But last not on the list is HOT Chocolate. so smooth and creamy. Having completed 100 years since its establishment in the British Colonial days, Keventers has made its name in serving one of the best English Breakfast, tea & snacks in this Darjeeling Hill Town. 

It’s located on Nehru Road that leads to the Chowrasta Mall & among busy shopping areas. Now they also have extra seating space which is a much-needed addition. Service is quick and friendly. The food is a little greasy and heavy though for weight watchers and healthy eaters. However, it’s a must-visit place for any tourist visiting Darjeeling just for its iconic status and a semblance of food during the Raj era. The seating area is mainly on the 1st floor and the staircase portraits a lot of memorable images.

 You have an option to have your delicious breakfast right in the open sky. There is an open roof section. The overall ambiance is very nice and soothing. Keventers started by Edward Keventers in 1911 counts among one of them. Order a full platter (salami, ham, eggs, meatloaf, sausages) and have your breakfast like the king’s do. Also do not forget to order their coffee and tasty hot chocolate. It is surely not a place to miss out on your trip to Darjeeling.

 If you choose to sit on their terrace you get a good view of the city. Coming to the ambiance, they have a store on the first floor where you get chocolate, cookies, cakes, etc. And also softy, which we tried too were only two flavors and their mixture was available- vanilla and chocolate. They have two outdoor seating, one open and in one they have shade beautifully decorated with flowers and pretty flower pots. The indoor seating arrangement was also made such that one side of it can easily visualize Kanchenjunga. Fabulous place to visit. Location – shop no 1, Nehru Rd, Darjeeling.

If you are in Darjeeling and looking for some of the yummiest Pancakes and French toast Sonam’s kitchen is the place for you. Everything on the menu is extraordinary. Amazing continental restaurant for breakfast and dinner… The owner makes authentic continental always freshly prepared along with amazing tea/ coffee.. also a very knowledgeable lady, shares so many things about Darjeeling, ancient history, and local culture.

 A must visit when someone is in Darjeeling, 5min walk from the mall. Small continental restaurant near mall. Run by a local family. Food quality is awesome. For 4 people breakfast costs 1000 if you try almost everything.. wooden decoration. Sonam’s is truly a wonderful breakfast place. Their ‘hash browns’, which are large potato galettes, are delicious, and pair wonderfully with the roasted tomatoes and salty fried eggs. 

The place itself is small and cozy and has limited seating but you feel at home here; there are books stacked on shelves which you can sit and read here while having a sumptuous breakfast.

Coming to the food, Sonam Ji prepares the best pancakes in Darjeeling or for that matter anywhere. They are soft and fluffy and served with honey, chocolates, nuts, or bananas. You can have a chocolate pancake and a chocolate and banana pancake and we enjoyed every bit of it. You can also have a mixed veg omelet which is equally good along with hot chocolates. If you visit Darjeeling, having breakfast here must be a part of your to-do list.

While the menu is not exhaustive, the offerings on the menu are quite delicious. The place is cozy, but in a rush-hour one may face problems as only 4 tables are there. The restaurant opens at 8 o’clock sharp, and having breakfast here before a day of sightseeing will give you a fix for hours.

Nowadays the place keeps open for dinner too, but one has to order early, otherwise, it might be problematic. Kept by Dame Sonam herself. Get yourself the best breakfast in town. The Himalayan Coffee is located near Glenary’s in Darjeeling Mall, on the first floor of the building. An excellent interior ambiance with quality food. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food menu consists of a variety of cakes, pancakes, egg-based dishes, sandwiches, and seasonal specialties. The egg cheese omelet was delicious. This is a great place for an evening hangout with a sip and bite option.

 The prices are mid-range and fully worth considering the overall experience. They serve the best cappuccino and have an excellent brunch menu altogether…The service we received was amazing and we will be back again. This place is very Peaceful and has an amazing environment. It may not be easy to spot this cafe because of the narrow path and busy shopping area but if you are a true coffee drinker then you will somehow find your way here and also Google Maps helps. 

Good ambiance to chill with friends and also for work. Wooden furniture and paintings on the wall are awesome and unique. Soft music played in the background is mesmerizing. Servicing is also good. People here are very helpful. This place doesn’t offer you the mountain view but a blueberry cheesecake on the table with a hot cup of coffee is enough, isn’t it? This is the place you go if you truly love your Java. 

The baristas here know their stuff and come up with a really good cup. The coffee machine is quite a state of the art itself. As an ad on the deserts is decadent. Among the better coffee places in the country – nothing in Bombay for sure comes close. But nothing beats the taste of the beverages here. The quality of the food is also top-notch. What steals the show is the presentation from the interiors to the servings.

 The thing Gleneries has over this place is the view, the food is better here though. A good place to have coffee and have a good time. Only wish that they keep more blank notebooks for people to draw as the ones there are already filled. The staff is very nice, service is quick, coffee is brilliant, not machine and tasteless (as a famous place down the road sells for the same price). Recommend it for anyone who likes coffee, relaxing, and eating great cakes and muffins.

 Beautiful presentation and atmosphere. Top-notch experience and service. Delicious, dark, rich espresso with thick crema… Like what you’d find. in an Italian cafe! The coffee is organic and grown nearby in Nepal, making this even better (no flying coffee around the world destroying the atmosphere). It nice place to be around.  Usually, the place is vacant. Before you order any of the espresso drinks it is always better to ask them. It is a place you can spend your time. Himalayan Java is a great place to relax, have a coffee and enjoy some peace. Located in the middle of town it is easy to go to. It’s upstairs away from the road which gives you a respite from the hustle and bustle of India. The coffee is ‘like at home. It looks as good as it tastes.

 This is a great place in Darjeeling for coffee lovers. It may not be easy to spot this joint because of its narrow path and busy shopping area but if you are a true coffee drinker then you will somehow find your way here. They serve the best cappuccino and have an excellent brunch menu altogether…The service you will receive is amazing and you will be back again. Location – 5/1, Nehru  Rd, Bellevue, Darjeeling.
